HEALTHCARE INTERNATIONAL offers three stages of diagnostic work-up for international patients.
Step 1: If possible, all relevant diagnostic tests should be performed before the patient travels abroad. This saves time and reduces costs. In order to obtain as much information as possible patients should send all available medical records to HEALTHCARE INTERNATIONAL in advance of their travel. If the documents are not complete and further test need to be carried out, HEALTHCARE INTERNATIONAL's doctors can consult with the patient's local GP or hospital doctor to suggest further diagnostic tests to be performed.
Step 2: If the medical work-up cannot be completed before the patient travels abroad, the medical work-up can be completed at HEALTHCARE INTERNATIONAL's own DIAGNOSTIC CENTER in Frankfurt without any delay. The DIAGNOSTIC CENTER has all medical specialists available and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment ranging from laboratory through ultrasound and X-ray to the latest in 3D computed tomography and high-field MRI.
Step 3: Highly specialised medical test can be scheduled to be performed at the medical center where the patient will be treated without delay or unnecessary waiting times.
Please remember: The diagnostic work-up is most important. Modern medicine is extremely specialised and the assignment of a patient to the appropriate clinic and specialists requires a precise definition of the disease.
Also, precise diagnostic work-ups save money: If the diagnosis is not certain, expensive time for diagnostic work-up will be spent at hospitals. If, for example, chest pain turns out not be caused by coronary artery disease but by degenerative changes of the spine, the entire time - and money - spent at a cardiac center may be lost.
